Oh Tannenbaum Lyrics

Countdown - Oh Tannenbaum Lyrics:

On Blue Jay Lane, our Christmas tree
Is quite a different sight to see.
The fir tree grows near the patio,
The star of every yuletide show.

Instead of balls and tinsel trim,
Some goodies hang from every limb.
Coyote treats and fruit for the deer,
Sweets for the raccoons living near.

A visiting fox, the skunk or shrew,
Each one finds a bit or two.
First they stop to gaze at the tree,
Then elbow in with the family.

When midnight chimes, there is a hush,
No slightest sound from tree or brush.
The Christmas blessing comes again,
Special peace in the hearts of men

As our party ends, we always hear
The coyote carols far and near.
Moonlight adds its glow to the tree,
And we feel God's love so tangibly

Then with the rays of morning light ,
The top of the tree is our delight.
Bird bells and suet dance in the breeze,
Waiting for all the birds to please.

A rainbow cloud descends on the tree
To feast and sing in pure harmony.
Pheasants and quail scratch corn below,
As chickadees greet the guests they know.

You too can share our Christmas cheer.
Feed all our feathered friends this year.
When making your holiday treats ahead,
Include bird bells and fruit-nut bread.

Share with the birds that come your way,
It adds much joy to your holiday.
Then feed them all the winter through,
The Christmas spirit abides with you.

A toast to creatures great and small:
May Christmas Blessings come to all!
Greetings to you and your whole family,
And cheers for our little Christmas tree.
