The Alive album is arguably Kiss’ best and paints them as a group that were performers and entertainers first and musicians second. But that’s okay because this album of live performances rocks. Every song is a metal classic, including “Deuce," "Strutter," "Hotter than Hell," "Black Diamond," "100,000 Years," and especially "Rock and Roll All Nite,” which is probably the best known party song in existence..The songs recorded on Kiss's first 3 studio albums pale by comparison to the power, punch and sonic impact to the versions recorded on "Alive!" If you get only one Kiss album, make it this one.
