The All That You Can’t Leave Behind album shows that
U2 is not content to rest on their laurels. Their tenth studio album marks a middle ground straddling the group’s arena rock sound of the 80s and their more intimate and personal stylings of the 90s. Highlights are “Beautiful Day,” the first single, which reminds us that even though we may be in a bad way financially, the world is still a glorious place and “Stuck In a Moment,” a tune about suicide, that makes us realize that just because we’re in a bad space today, doesn’t mean we’ll be there forever. Although some may find this album on the mellow side, it’s still one of U2’s best.
