Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory Album

Adeptly lacing together CCR’s diverse sounds, the Cosmo’s Factory album solidified CCR’s status as a great end of the 60s American rock band. John Fogerty's showcased his knack for performing ready-for-AM-radio tunes like "Lookin' Out My Back Door" and "Up Around the Bend." His more serious side is seen in "Who'll Stop the Rain" and "Long As I Can See the Light” and his unique talent for covering black music is amply demonstrated in an 11-minute cover of "I Heard It Through the Grapevine." It’s hard to believe that CCR were considered lightweights in their day, but I’m glad that the intervening years have been kind to their reputation.
