ZZ Top - Eliminator Album

The Eliminator album was ZZ Top’s ninth release and features the meat-and-potatoes band taking full advantage of the electronic wizardry afforded by working in a studio. The album perfectly reflects the early 80s, when it seemed like fast cars and even faster women were available for the taking. The music videos that appeared on the then fledging MTV network further enhanced ZZ Tops image as a rough-and-tumble outfit bent on feeding its desires. “Gimmie All Your Lovin'," "Sharp Dressed Man" and "Legs" are perfect pop rock gems that still hold up two decades later. Other standout cuts are the hard rocking "Got Me Under Pressure” and one of their better slower songs-- "I Need You Tonight."
