ALBUM REVIEW
The Roxy Music For Your Pleasure album is one of the band’s signature works from the seventies and was their last album before Brian Eno left the group. They could have played it safe in their sophomore effort, but the band was bold and branched out into new territory instead. There are brilliant glimpses of avant garde rock like "Do the Strand," the lyrically charming "Beauty Queen," and the signature cut "Editions of You." For hardcore fans, Roxy Music even goes so far as to offer a bizarre nine minute instrumental number, “Bogus Man.” This band never became as popular in the United States as 70s counterparts like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, which is a shame because this album shows that they are clearly as talented.
