Echo And The Bunnymen - Heaven Up Here Album

From lyrics to atmosphere, the Heaven Up Here album by Echo and the Bunnymen is awesome. The mood here is much darker and more intense than in their debut release, but it rocks out. The CD begins with "Show Of Strength", an edgy and bold tune about fighting the world and being up against personal shortcomings. The title track is one of my absolute favorites on this album. In this somber tune, all of Ian's demons are exposed as he sings about trying to escape the world while at the same time soaking up its dark pleasures. Overall, this is a tremendous sophomore album from E&B, but you might have to listen a few times to fully appreciate it.
