Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill Album

Aretha may have demanded respect, but Alanis Morissette takes us one step past that in the Jagged Little Pill album, one of the best to come out of the nineties. Morissette’s intensely personal lyrics, which revolve around her feelings and what she wants or thinks she deserves out of life, are somewhat reminiscent of Cheryl Crowe’s, but Morissette’s distinctive vocals make the singer a genuine original. There’s no escaping her stark honesty in such hits as "Right Through You," "Forgiven," and "All I Really Want." Morissette took the musical world by storm with this beautifully insightful album that is a pure joy to behold.
