The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death Album

Biggie Smalls aka Notorious B.I.G. hits the jackpot in his sophomore offering, the Life After Death album. The rapper spends most of the album talking about his former life on the streets as a dope dealer and how most of his friends doing similar things were killed (“Niggaz Bleed,” “Somebody’s Gotta Die”). But B.I.G. clearly didn’t want to end up dead and had dreams of a future with his children (“Sky Is the Limit” and “Miss You”). The album is also a testament to the rapper’s versatility as he adopts the rapid rhyme flow of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and mixes it with a Midwestern beats. All in all, this is ready-made hip hop classic from the King of Brooklyn.
