Live/Dead Album Review
The Live/Dead album features the Dead circa 1969 in all their onstage glory. If you want to know what it was like to be at a Dead concert without having gone, I suggest you listen to this CD. It makes you feel like you are in a small club right there in the center of things. It could be the starkness of the recording or just the Dead jamming like a bunch of fresh-faced kids happy to be exploring their music. This album definitely contains the definitive version of “Dark Star,” but all the tracks on this explosive CD are great.
