Bonnie Raitt - Nick of Time Album

With the Nick of Time album Bonnie Raitt finally arrived at the mainstream door after years of brilliantly reviewed, but commercially underachieving albums. Raitt hit one out of the park with the title track, a homage to the troubles and anxieties facing the baby boomer generation. She combined “Nick of Time” with a few other original songs and covers that demonstrated her chops as a blues guitarist and solidified her public persona as a smart and tough, but ultimately vulnerable woman. Raitt’s talent is unique in a world of entertainers who are just copies. Interestingly, at the same time she is also one of us and the ultimate Everywoman.
