Beck’s
Odelay album is one of the freshest, most inventive rock albums every produced. All of the tracks are unique and some are downright remarkable. Besides the hits off the album, there are some gems which never received much airplay, including “
Hotwax” and “Minus.”
Beck sticks to what he does best. And that is writing outlandish songs that combine a broad variety of genres into one fun, blurry celebration. Odelay could be a great accompaniment for a party, but it’s also suitable for reading, for crying, for screaming, for laughing, you name it. It's very supple, yet firm enough to inspire passion and reveal new meaning each time you listen to it.
