The Police - Reggatta de Blanc Album

The Reggatta de Blanc album is the Police’s sophomore effort and continues with their own unique blend of punk and reggae. Many songs deal with the angst of alienation and loneliness in an increasingly mechanized and depersonalized post-industrial world, but few match the majesty, catchy rhythms, and writing skills on display in "Message In A Bottle,” a tune about a castaway sending a message in a bottle in hopes that a passing ship will recover it. It’s actually a metaphor for the angst and alienation of modern life. Another highlight is “Walking on the Moon” a fanciful tune in which Sting gets to exhibit his wry sense of humor.
