The Rolling Stones - Some Girls Album

When the Some Girls album was released in 1978, disco and punk were the new musical styles and the album contains the band's efforts in these genres. As usual, the Stones were able to employ a variety of musical elements and pop techniques to make it sound all their own. From the opening of the disco-like number one hit "Miss You" to the closing of the frenzied punk of "Shattered", the Stones bounce all over the musical landscape. Whether they are performing the goofy country of “Faraway Eys” or transforming the Temptations’ “Just My Imagination” into a rousing rocker, they leave no musical stone unturned. This was the Stones’ last truly great album and any fan of rock should experience it.
