N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton Album

If you want to call yourself a hip hop fan you have to have the Straight Outta Compton album, the first and greatest of all gangsta discs from the streets of Compton. Dr. Dre and Yella serve as producers and the rapping is done by Dre, E. and Ice Cube, all guys that have become household names. They are shouting mad and pretty misogynistic, but have supremely creative and interesting rhymes—the kind that were later imitatied by so many lesser rap singers. The production is tight and more than ten years after it was released, is till the number one disc to bump in your car to. It represents a seminal moment in the history of hip hop and therefore deserves a prominent place in your hip hop collection.
