The Police - Synchronicity Album

The Synchronicity album, the last disc put out by the Police, will stand the test of time as a classic of rock and roll. The lyrics to such hits as Every Breath You Take," "King of Pain," and "Wrapped Around Your Finger" are strongly evocative conjuring up a mood in listeners that remains with us long after the song has stopped playing. Sting's thoughtful, poetic style is in evidence on all the tracks and he is also brilliant as the lead singer, his voice spiraling out of his natural range in a bizarrely ideal complement to the music. Synchronicity is not only a highlight in any collection from the 80s; I would especially recommend it for anybody who would appreciate unusual, smart pop music with reggae and jazz influences.
