The Rolling Stones - Tattoo You Album

ALBUM REVIEW
With masterpieces like “Start Me Up” and “Waiting on a Friend,” The Tattoo You album is arguably the Stones last great disc. "Start Me Up" was originally recorded in a deliberate reggae style, but here it is a powerful rocker and one of their most identifiable songs. "Hang Fire" is a frenetic rocker with a doo-wop-like chorus and "Little T & A" is a great Keith Richards song that sounds like an updated Chuck Berry tune. Thanks in part to the advent of MTV and the Stones’ risqué music videos, this album turned out to be one of the biggest of their career spending nine weeks at number one, the most of any Stones album. It may not be as fiery as some of their other releases, but it can still hold its own.
