Otis Redding - The Dock of the Bay Album

Released shortly after his death, Otis Redding’s The Dock of the Bay album was the first of several posthumous Otis Redding releases. The fantastically emotive title track, which brought his talent to a much wider and “whiter” audience, was a new direction that Otis was going to head in, which makes his untimely death that much sadder. Guitarist, co-writer, and friend Steve Cropper compiled this tribute album around it, gathering together some of his past singles, along with the unreleased ballad "Open The Door." There are some great singles that make up this collection and any Otis follower would be remiss in not adding this disc to their collection.
