Tom Waits - The Heart of Saturday Night Album

The Heart of Saturday Night album contains some of Tom Waits best early work. Here, Waits diverges from the prototypical California singer/songwriter and becomes a scruffy beat poet, much like a character in Kerouac’s classic, On the Road. Back in his early years, Waits was a jazzy, bourbon/blues piano playing sad sack who could put into words what few others could.
