ALBUM REVIEW
The hunger for self-discovery and yearning for more than what one has, stands behind the tremendously successful “The Joshua Tree” album from U2. In this disc, the boys seem to put politics aside for a moment and dwell on personal issues of love, faith and commitment. From the pulsating "Where the Streets Have No Name" and the gospel-ish "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" to the album's masterstroke, “With You or Without You” a devilish love song dressed up as an ode to devotion and care, U2’s lyrics hit home and resonate. At its core, the Joshua Tree album is about surviving and thriving in even hostile environments (like a Joshua Tree), something that everyone can relate to.
