In The Poison album Bullet For My Valentine establishes itself as a frontrunner in the British heavy metal scene giving American metal bands a run for their money. If you like metalcore and its smoking' riffs and pounding drums, dressed up with melody in the form of straight singing and acoustic guitars, then this album is for you. This Welsh foursome are great musicians who really know how to rock hard. The highlight of the album is "The End", a 7-minute epic that alternates between dark, haunting melodies, and powerful climactic riffs. This band is great to see live and you will probably appreciate this album more if you see a live show first.
