At first I was skeptical of "The Remixes" album as most remixes don't sound anywhere near as good as the originals, but this album from
Shakira has several things to recommend it. First, "Estoy Aqui," "Pies Descalzos, Suenos Blancos," and "Donde Estas Corazon are all great tunes to dance to. They are so infectious in fact that it's difficult to stay seated while you're listening to them. Second, the Portuguese remixes are sensational and every bit as loveable as the originals. And lastly, the jazzy version of "
Un Poco de Amor" has got a real jazz soul to it, and just proves that Shakira's voice sounds great with any music. If you want to listen to everything Shakira, this is one of those albums that is a must have.
