The Maine’s
The Way We Talk album is far from groundbreaking, but it you’re looking for a healthy addition to your pop/rock collection you can’t go wrong here. For a band that first formed in 2007, they’ve got quite a good buzz going for them and it’s all on the strength of their sugary vocals and downright infectious and catchy tunes. You can’t help but sing along to “If I Only Had a Heart” and “Give Me Anything,” It will be interesting to see if the band challenges themselves at all on their upcoming full-length CD, but for now, just enjoy what you hear and don’t apologize for it. Fans of
Cartel and Sherwood will not be let down.
