Tim Buckley - Tim Buckley Album

The Tim Buckley album is a stunning now as when it was released in 1966. It's amazing that he was only 19 years old when he made it - the voice, full of emotion and passion, and the songwriting, brilliant and insightful, are all what you would expect from a much older, more mature artist. Recorded and released during the folk-rock era, the arrangements and instrumentation reflect that era, but with an originality and honesty that raises them above the musical crowd. This album would foreshadow more great work to come from Buckley until his untimely demise at age 28. We were certainly gipped.
