ALBUM REVIEW
The Touch album is one of the Eurythmics’ best. Propelled by Annie Lenox’s gorgeous voice and David Stewart’s beautiful instrumentation, every song is a gem, even the experimental ones that do not have catchy hooks. From frustration ("Cool Blue") to isolation ("Aqua'), to jealousy ("Who's That Girl"), paranoia ("Paint A Rumour"), rage ("Regrets"), and bliss ("Right By Your Side"), each song conveys intense emotion. For my money this is one of the best albums of the 80s. It’s like a fine wine that gets better with age. Annie and Dave have obviously poured their hearts into this album and have come up with disc full songs that everyone can relate to...
