ALBUM REVIEW
Among ZZ Tops 1970s releases, the Tres Hombres album is the first one to own. After two previous albums that were blues dominated, the Texas boys really came into their own on this disc. "La Grange" kicks open the door of the whorehouse, and "Waitin' for the Bus" is the best James Gang impression by a band actually from Texas. This band has a 30 year hit-making legacy and it’s easy to see why with its distinctive sound that shakes up rock, blues, soul, garage-funk, Americana, and more. This is one of the greatest rock and roll bands to ever strut their stuff across all 50 states.
