The Byrds - Younger Than Yesterday Album

The Younger Than Yesterday album is a folk rock landmark in that it drew from the talents of four the five original Byrds. Songwriters David Crosby, Roger McGuinn, and Chris Hillman prodded one another with varied but complementary triumphs like “Everybody's Been Burned” and “Renaissance Fair,” "My Back Pages" is one of their best Dylan covers (and the Byrds had plenty of them), while "So You Want to Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star," written with the Monkees in mind, represents two minutes of condensed pop cynicism that's as valid today as it was when it was first played on radio.
