any and every age group.
The group is headquartered in Staten Island, New York, and has a solid and steadily growing fan base there as well as in Syracuse, New York and College Park, Maryland. Having done over 40 shows around the Northeast in the past 3 years, THC has outstanding stage experience and has put together some of the most energetic and crowd-pleasing sets to ever come to the venues at which they perform. Besides opening for such artists as Method Man, Afroman, and Akrokbatik, THCdrew a crowd of over 200 at Syracuse University, wherethey performed as the headlining act at Castle Court Spring Bash in 2006. This was all before the four members graduated from three different colleges.
Since receiving their degrees in Marketing, Business Management, Entrepreneurship, and Music History, the group has been utilizing these different skills while focusing all their time and energy on their music.
Slowly building their own label called Projectivity, they have been coordinating an ever-expanding group of up and coming artists from Vermont, California, Massachusetts and Upstate New York; all of who share a similar goal in conveying new ideas and topics yet to be discussed in hip-hop today.
"We knew we all had a lot to say and there wasn't going to be any nonsense; we weren't going to be doing the typical rap because we think there are a lot of different things out there that people want to hear. We know the people want a break from the monotony above and below ground. We formed The Higher Concept and since then we've been committed to taking hip-hop to the next level. We bring originality, creativity, and most importantly "there's always a message involved
