Ok.
I first heard this
played
as a test piece in a
Highland Games event
near Helensburgh.
Being a"Sasenach",
although a Welsh
one, I believed the
piece to be spelt
"Pea Brook"..DUH!
Any way after,
literally, years of
searching, I finaly
stumbled on the
piece.now I know
how to spell it!
Seriously though,
the memory of that
lone piper pacing
around a small
platform on a grey,
drizzly afternoon
producing this
amazingly poignant
sound has haunted me
for a long time now.
The search has been
worthwhile because
listening to it
moves me in such a
way that it, dare I
say, is akin to a
spiritual experience
Listen. in
solitude, without
expecting melody or
rhythm to jump out
at you and go with
it. Where it will
take you .only you
can find out.hav a
pleasant journey!
