Run-D.M.C. is a rap group from Hollis, Queens. Run-D.M.C. came to fame in the late 80’s with groundbreaking hip hop songs. They were one of the first groups to make it big in the Hip hop world and became mainstream when they remixed hits like “Walk this Way.” After the tragic death of Jam Master Jay, Reverend Run wanted to show the positive side of hip hop with this family. In Early 2005 MTV film crews began shooting a reality show on the Simons’ family at their house in Upper Saddle River, NJ. The show was a big hit with MTV audiences and families all over the country. Reverend Run recorded a song for the opening credits called “Run’s House,” which became extremely popular.
