Linda Ronstadt was born in 1946 in southwestern Tucson, Arizona. Ronstadt is categorized as an American pop vocalist who has won multiple awards including Grammy’s, an Emmy, Tony Award, and numerous certified gold, platinum, and multiplatinum albums. Ronstadt is credited for singing, writing, and producing her own music. With over 30 studio solo albums and over 100 guest appearances she has become one of the first women in history to have arena and stadium tours. Rondstadt is classified as one of the most versatile female pop singers of all time. She can be included in genres such as pop, jazz, mariachi, folk, Broadway and even opera. Her hit song “All My Life” was written by Karla Bonoff and performed as a duet by Ronstadt and Aaron Neville on the 1989 album Cry Like a Rainstorm, Howl Like the Wind. The song was released in 1990 and it eventually hit # 1 on the adult contemporary chart. In 1991 “ All My Life” won the Grammy award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group.
