The Feedback mp3 reflects a Dark Child produced track that is designed to put Janet back in the top tier of female pop performers. Part of an as yet untitled album, Feedback has a great dance rhythm, a nice arrangement and a steamy hook. Although the tune also has some decidedly overdubbed vocals, it still connects.

Janet is clearly trying to reassert herself in the pop world, but whether she’ll succeed is anyone’s guess. Some say she won’t be able to compete with Whitney or Mariah, but I think she has a unique advantage in that her strength is her great moves, which she hasn’t lost, while Whiney and Mariah’s voices have been letting them down as of late.
