Although some may feel as though the artistic vision of this tune strays too far away from the inspirational sound, many will feel it’s an acceptable bid for a broader audience.

Roots, the album this track is off, finds McDonald evolving as a singer/songwriter and settling into his role as a Christian father and husband and all the responsibilities that that entails. This is McDonald’s third studio effort and it is clearly his best. He seems to capture each period of his life perfectly in the songs that he writes. Clarity is no exception.
