Amanda Overmeyer’s Back in the U.S.S.R. mp3 makes a blues/rock arrangement out the classic Beatles’ song and the rocker in Overmeyer clearly belts it out. That having been said, she doesn’t have much to give in the early parts of the song and even the middle is a little predictable. Overmeyer makes every song sound like a Janis Joplin tune and while she has a distinctive voice, it is certainly not that original. But it’s still worth listening to this biker free spirit. This after all, is a pretty simple song and very hard to totally screw up.
