A lot of fans don’t like this side of the band’s repertoire, but I think it shows their range and is a nice change of pace from the rest of the album.

Don’t forget to watch the trailer for the Anderson Cooper documentary "Planet in Peril," which features two minutes of "Until the Day is Done.” The band debuted this single last July in Dublin and were greeted by a decidedly enthusiastic response. If that’s any indication then the tune could be another breakout hit for R.E.M.
