Emerging as a go-to music producer, Kwame (yes, the one who had the polka dots) delivers some stellar production for the Run and Hide mp3, one of Blessett’s best off her debut album. All in one tune we have an experiment in soul, country and even a touch of gospel that makes for instant vintage.
This is an excellent debut from a strong singer/songwriter who has produced an entire project that is right on par with other great neo-soul debuts from Jill Scott & Erykah Badu. While creating her own niche in the game, Blessett is clearly declaring that she is proud of who she is and the kind of music she stands for.
