Syesha Mercado’s I Believe mp3 is actually quite good, but suffers by comparison to the rendition that Fantasia Barrino did of the tune on season three of American Idol. That having been said, Syesha started off the song softly but in tune. The beginning of the song was actually a bit boring, but towards the middle Syesha picked it up and ended up belting out the lyrics with power and passion. Her vocals towards the end of the song were truly impressive. As Syesha finished the song she looked pleased and energized by her effort, but the judges soon rained on her parade, telling her that they couldn’t help but compare it to the ultimate version done by Fantasia. Syesha could take some solace, however, in their comments that her attempt was admirable and technically proficient.
