The Cops Up mp3 is a tune about a ladies man who finds himself falling in love. (The chorus goes, in part: "Somebody call the cops up, lil' mama done stole my heart/She's makin' me fall in love . somebody call the cops up."). This is somewhat of a departure for Lyfe, who is not known for his sense of humor, but this proves he’s definitely got one. Cops Up is also different because it is up-tempo and catchy, where as Lyfe is know for his gritty material. There's even a rap verse at the beginning of the track, but to be honest, it doesn’t do much for the song. Still, you’ve got to give Lyfe his props for trying new things.
