The Summertime mp3 from the New Kids on the Block is filled with classic boy band vocal harmonies and clever lyrics and should be a trip down memory lane for all fans of the group in their first incarnation back in the 80s. Is there anything fresh or new here? Not exactly, but that’s not why you’re listening anyway. The New Kids are back with their first new music in 14 years and you’d think they would show some growth or maturation in sound. Sadly, this is not the case. This is a slight song that won’t hold up to serious scrutiny, but on the other hand, if you’re into nostalgia this just might be the summertime tune for you.
