The Everybody Pays as They Go mp3 features the vocals of Jakob Dylan backed only by an acoustic guitar. Jakob seems to have picked up the lyrical gifts of his father on this tune, but I still think it might have sounded better if Jakob’s band the Wallflowers were backing with guitars and maybe an organ. This is Jakob’s first solo album and he has some pretty big boots to fill. He may not be as talented as his father Bob, but he’s definitely got the spark of something good and with a little encouragement from the right producers could turn into one really fine young troubadour himself.
