Every German listening to the radio knows of the Love is You mp3 and probably knows the song by heart having heard it so many times. They probably hate it by now, but I don’t because it’s a charming and very evocative pop ballad with a slight but effective groove to it. Germany knew what it was doing when it selected Godoj its version of an American Idol. To his credit, Godoj steers clear of the mainstream pop territory that so many Idol winners from around the world have strayed into. His delivery is also flawless, making me believe that this is one televised talent show winner that is going to have staying power. Move over Clay Aiken!
