Columbian singer Shakira usually seems to be ahead of the pack of her predictable pop contemporaries, so it seems fitting that her 2009 album is titled She Wolf. The Spanish version of the first single from the new album by Shakira Loba offers all of the elctro-pop fun of the original, but with a new vocal track to add international appeal. Shakira has been one of the hottest stars of the Latin pop scene for over a decade, thanks to her knack for pumping out hits that will appeal to diverse, worldwide audiences, and her latest Loba mp3 is no execption. Although one of her biggest hits in recent memory was a collaboration with Wyclef Jean on the infectious Hips Don’t Lie, the new Shakira Loba single finds the singer handling the spotlight on her own—and it seems to be working, since the She Wolf download quickly climbed to chart success. The track was co-written by Shakira with John Hill and Sam Endicott, the latter the singer of gothy dance-pop outfit, the Bravery.
