(EZ-Tracks) - You gotta love the European MTV awards and even more you have to love actor Sascha Baron Cohen who hosted the event as his alter ego Kazakhstan reporter Borat Sagdivev. After Madonna opened up the show with her first release “Hung Up” from her upcoming album “Confessions on a Dance Floor” wearing a purple bodice, fishnets and black boots— Borat Sagdivev said; “Welcome to the 2005 Eurovision Song Contest. The singer before me - who was he? It was very courageous of MTV to start the show with a genuine transvestite."
Music Vixen: Sascha Baron Cohen happens to be the funniest man alive, and Madonna’s performance was perfect fodder for a well-timed Borat Sagdivev politically incorrect slur. I personally give props to Madonna for looking so great at 47 with her muscles all taut and her legs stretching towards every degree on a compass—but maybe after this album it’s time to hang up the hoochie gear for good hmmm? We get it…you look much better than most women your age…we hear ya Madge. On a side note: I highly doubt Madonna was offended by the comment from Baron, who also has a character called Ali G—a cockney rapper also known to offend and alarm. Ali G appeared in Madonna’s video for “Music” after Baron heard that she was a huge fan. |
