Jonas Brother Sign Deal With Live Nation | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - Concert touring company Live Nation has inked a two year, multimillion dollar worldwide touring deal for teen sensations, the Jonas Brothers, according to a Reuter’s report. The deal is reported to be the first of its kind for an up and coming act. It’s another coup for Live Nation, which recently enticed Madonna to toss her longtime label, Warner Brothers, for an estimated $120 million multi-album, touring and merchandising deal. The Los Angeles-based company said the arrangement calls for the band, comprised of three siblings from New Jersey, to play more than 140 theatres and arenas around the world. The tour will kick off in Tucson, Arizona on January 31. The announcement comes after the band's appearance on the sold out tour led by Hannah Montana, the fictional pop star played on the Disney Channel TV show by Miley Cyrus. That tour generated $36 million. Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers are both signed to Disney’s Hollywood Records. Headed up by three brothers, Kevin, Joe, and Nick, the Jonas Brothers have released two albums - It's About Time in 2006, and Jonas Brothers in 2007. They are expected to get their own Disney series and movie, (Camp Rock), next summer. | ||||||||||||
