‘Dancing’ Over for Two Stars | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - Magician Penn Jillette could work no magic on Dancing With the Stars; Jillette, along with tennis ace Monica Seles were the first celebrities eliminated from the popular television dance competition last night, according to an Associated Press report. Although Jillette, 53, gave it the old college try, he failed to impress judges and fans of the show with his quick step. However, he remained undaunted, saying that he and his professional partner would continue to rehearse daily and planned to perform in the parking lot. “There's no way my dance career ends now," he said. Before her name was announced, Monica Seles told the judges that being the first woman booted off the show would be really difficult for her.” I'm not used to losing," said the nine-time Grand Slam champion. Judge Bruno Tonioli sympathized that her tennis skills didn’t translate to the dance floor: "You're not a performer, and it's hard for you,” he said, calling the 34 year-old Seles a “legend.” Next week, the remaining ten celebrity contestants will perform the tango and the jive. | ||||||||||||
