Allman Brothers Bow Out of Beacon Run | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - The Allman Brothers Band has postponed their famed annual run at the Beacon Theater in New York City with band leader Greg Allman still ailing from treatment for Hepatitis C, according to a Billboard.com report. The run was scheduled for May 5-24. With the news, Beacon operator Madison Square Garden Entertainment announced that those with tickets to the concerts should hold onto them as they will be honored when the run is rescheduled. According to the statement, Allman has been getting scheduled treatments for Hepatitis C and "the virus has been eradicated from his system." However, he's not quite up the exhausting 15-show Beacon extravaganza. I'm getting better but I'm still tired," Allman said. "I need to be at 110% to do the shows the way we do them. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the support and understanding my Brothers and our fans have given me." While the ABB has also cancelled an upcoming performance at the Wanee Festival in April, 12 dates that were scheduled for August will go ahead as planned. | ||||||||||||
