Scott Weiland Booted From Velvet Revolver | ||||||||||||

| (EZ-Tracks) - After a very public feud, the band Velvet Revolver and its frontman, Scott Weiland have decided to part ways, according to a report on Billboard.com. The report cited a statement from the band’s founding members Slash, Duff McKagan, Matt Sorum and Dave Kushner. “This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100% committed to either," Slash said in the statement issued yesterday. "Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on." In the weeks leading up to the split, an online feud erupted between Weiland and drummer Sorum, following recent onstage remarks made by the singer, who reportedly said their current European would be the band's last ever. The announcement of the Weiland’s departure comes a day after the singer announced a reunion tour with his original band, Stone Temple Pilots. In January, Slash told Billboard that Velvet Revolver would begin working on a follow-up album to “Libertad” as soon as the group was finished with their European tour. Weiland’s last appearance with the group will be in Amsterdam. | ||||||||||||
