| (EZ-Tracks) - Billboard, the record industry bible, has expanded its coverage of the Latin music industry by launching an all-Spanish Web site called Billboard in Español, according to a report on Billboard.com. According to the report: “Billboard En Español is not a mere Spanish-language replica of Billboard.com, but will provide exclusive content created specifically for the Spanish-speaking music fan from around the world.” The site will feature the Billboard charts, reviews, video streaming, columns, exclusive news and interviews conducted by an international staff as well as “Batido,” the site’s blog, a multi-genre, multimedia compilation of music observations, opinions and notes from across the globe.” It will also have a strong interactive component, allowing users to share music, comments and reviews. "Billboard en Español will offer in-depth coverage of Latin music while recognizing that the tastes of music fans who speak Spanish are not limited to a single genre, or to exclusively Spanish-language music,” said Judy Cantor-Navas, the managing editor of the site. | ||||||||||||
