Vanilla Ice Arrested

(EZ-Tracks) - “Ice Ice Baby" rapper Vanilla Ice was arrested and sent to Florida's Palm Beach County Jail on Thursday on a charge of simple domestic battery after his wife reportedly called deputies to say her husband was hitting and kicking her, according to a Fox News report. Deputies arrived at their Wellington, Florida home around 7:15 p.m. to find the 40-year-old star, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, on his motorcycle, two blocks from their home, the report noted. Laura Van Winkle appeared uninjured but said she wants a divorce, according to a deputy's report. She said her husband had not hit or kicked her, but had pushed her. “He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set. In front of my daughter," she told a deputy, according to the report. For his part, Vanilla Ice said his wife suffers from bipolar disorder and despite taking medication still has moments of irrationality and argumentativeness. He said she threw a picture frame off a balcony, which shattered right in front of him and their two young daughters. Vanilla Ice has most recently been seen on NBC’s “Hit Me Baby One More Time.”
