Castro Could Be Eliminated After Lyrics Flub

| (EZ-Tracks) - The end is near for season seven of American Idol and things are heating up.
“Pack your suitcase,” said American Idol judge Simon Cowell in response to last night’s mangled performance by dreadlocked folk singer Jason Castro. A fan favorite, 20-year-old Castro isn’t the first contestant to forget the lyrics this season (a pet peeve among judges), but his misstep may have come at the worst possible time—on the eve of the show’s next elimination resulting in the announcement of the top three finalists. After a poorly reviewed rendition of Bob Marley’s “I Shot the Sheriff,” Castro was performing Bob Dylan’s classic, “Mr. Tambourine” when he drew a blank when it came time to sing the second verse. Regardless of who is the next contestant eliminated, the top 10 contestants will reunite for the American Idols Live tour in the summer.
